II.
VIDEO
PROBLEM.
QUICK
NOTES:
Most of our videos come in 3 different compressed file sizes.
The speed of video you pick should depend on your Internet
connection. If all else fails, go to the smallest video and
see if you can view the video.
LOW
QUALITY: This video is normally compressed the most,
offer much lower quality sound and is fuzzy to view. Choose
this video if your modem speed is very slow. (14k through a
slow 56k modem) This would be a dial up connection, a
program you have to start to get on the Internet.
MEDIUM
QUALITY: This is a larger screen video that has been
compressed a much higher quality. If you are on a strong 56k
modem or a higher connection then this is a great video to
watch. Even slower connections can watch this video it will
just take more time to download.
HIGH
QUALITY: This is a large screen video as well but at
very good video compression. These videos can be DVD quality
and should only be used by high bandwidth providers. Often
DSL and CABLE users can find these videos to large for even
them to download.
MPEG
VIDEO: Some of our video selections offers a high
quality video download that is in MPEG format. If you want
to save this video just right click on the link choose the
save the link location.
POPUP
VIDEO: Is a larger screen video of the quality video
that you choose.
You can
right click on the video to make it bigger or larger. Hit
ESC (top left corner if your keyboard) to close full screen
videos.

HAVING
PROBLEMS PLAYING THE VIDEOS?
Below is a quick information guide to help you with any
problems you are having with the videos located throughout
this website. Please take time to read the full document if
you are having problems viewing any videos within our
website.
There are
three main video players that are available for your
computer (pc or mac) that allow you to videos on the
Internet. These video players names are 'Windows Media
Player', 'Quick Time', and 'Real Player'. The product that
should be used throughout this website is mostly Windows
Media Player (or .WMV files). You can download the software
Windows Media Player for both PC and Mac. We use Windows
Media Video files because they compress at a much better
rate, which means you can view the smallest file sizes but
with better quality video in the shortest possible download
time. Windows Media Player is 100% FREE.

HOW TO
INSTALL WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER ONTO YOUR COMPUTER:
Most new computers usually have Windows Media Player
installed but often they need to be upgraded. If you need to
download or install a new version of Windows Media Player
then you can get your FREE version from
here.
Once you
visit the download page you need to enter some information
about your computer and then click the download button.
A window will
open asking you to SAVE the program, choose save. REMEMBER:
Where you put the file. Best place to remember is in your C:
directory. (My Computer / C Drive.).
Once the
download is complete you can choose OPEN (in IE) or if you
want you can go to My Computer on your desktop and then your
C Drive. Double click the saved program and begin the
installation.
If you are on
a 56k modem it will take around 30-60 minutes to download.
After installed you must restart your computer to view the
videos.
STOP HERE UNLESS
THE VIDEOS STILL DO NOT WORK AFTER A INSTALL AND RESTART:

WINDOWS
MEDIA PLAYER IS INSTALLED BUT I STILL CAN NOT VIEW THE
VIDEOS:
The most common problem is people did not install the
program after they saved it. Go to your desktop, choose My
Computer and then choose C: Drive (local disc). Once open
find the file named: MP_Setup (MP_Something, etc). Double
click on this icon and go through the setup process.
Another
problem that can happen is other software called Quick Time
or Real Player have take the default video status away from
Windows Media Player. To fix this follow the steps below.
Open Windows
Media Player (Start - Programs - Windows Media Player) If
you don't directly see the short cut then look around some.
Look in applications, system, etc.
Click on the
Tools menu, and then click Options.
Then select
the File Types tab.
Click on the
Select All button and then the Apply button.
Then click OK
and restart your computer. You should now be able to view
the videos.
